Daft Punk, The Movie
While everyone loves to move to a little Daft Punk, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel De Homem-Chrosto's directorial debut was much more controversially debated than their music. Electroma, which was originally screened in L.A. June 29th at a too-packed-to-fit-all midnight show, follows the two helmet-clad "robots" (played by actors) in their melancholic quest to become human. Electroma will take another shot at seducing L.A. audiences the 9th of this month at another midnight show, this time at Nuart in West L.A. What to expect? Absolutely no dialogue or daft punk songs. Oh, and at the last screening, numerous walkouts filled the aisle, and boos were over heard. I say, go and judge for yourself.
