I was cruising some stuff on NPR.org today and came across this story. A guy gets mugged, then gives his coat to the mugger, then asks him to dinner. He says, "I figure, you know, if you treat people right, you can only hope that they treat you right. It's as simple as it gets in this complicated world." Hmm. When Markus and I were involved in the mugging, I don't think a thought like this would have crossed my mind.

Below are some vids of a concept for luxury electronics company Bang & Olufsen. It's a remote control that was designed by student Joris Van Gelder and it was centered around the idea of creating a remote for use in kitchens, where minimal touching is ideal to prevent the spread of bacteria. As you'll see in the vids, the remote responds to finger gestures as well as the rising and falling of the balanced remote to control features such as channel changes and volume control. The great thing about this concept is that the student pushed it further by actually creating a working mockup/prototype, making the possibility of owning one that much closer. Yess. Now can someone spot me a couple k's so I can buy this once it comes out? Thanks.

MAKES SENSE... IN THEORY...

It's rumored that Britain's West End Theatre wants Britney Spears to play the lead role of Blanche DuBois in Tennessee William's stage play A Streetcar Named Desire.

“Britney’s been on the list for this for some time but was considered too risky until recently,” an insider spills to the British tabs. “Her appearance in the American TV show How I Met Your Mother changed all that. She had poise, timing and a real flair.”

“We’d wanted her for Blanche because even though she’s technically too young to play her, who else could embody this fallen Southern Belle so well? Britney’s done it all in her career – from being desired beyond all others to facing ridicule that she can’t quite understand – pure Blanche.”

“She’s living out the story, so to harness that on stage would be amazing for an audience to see – and cathartic for Britney, too.”

Sure Britney may have done a better than average job on How I Met Your Mother, but that's just using a Britney scale. If you used a regular’s person scale then it would be an unforgettable performance. If you had casted a regular actress no one would say that so and so did a stellar job and she should be a Tony award-winning actress. You're not really reviewing her acting, you're applauding the fact that she made it to set and got through the scenes. It doesn’t mean she's ready for the theater and the daily performances along with an added matinee performance on the weekend. HAHAHA, I don’t think so!

Fashion designer Rami Kashou attends the Marks Restaurant 20th Anniversary Party held at Marks in West Hollywood. The party was to benefit the Trevor Project. The Trevor Project is a 24 hour 7 days a week suicide & crisis prevention helpline for gay and questioning youth.

Ah-BobbyBrown-a! Engadget Mobile has some shots of the new BlackBerry device which is being referred to as the BlackBerry 9000 (pictured far right). AT&T is rumored to have the launch exclusivity in the US and Vodafone should have it in major European Markets. It won't have any groundbreaking tech in it but it will introduce a newer, sleeker, and sexy (?) interface and look. I'm diggin it, especially the new UI, and I think it is the only BlackBerry to plant any form of gadget lust. Hmm, I need to meet somebody. Check out the link below for more shots.

LAST NIGHTS PARTY HOP...

Last night Eva Longoria hosted a charity at her new restaurant Beso in Hollywood. The charity dinner was EBMRF in honor of Ken Paves Big Give a play off Oprah's Charity TV special. Katy and I joined our friend Jessica Pastor to this celebrity infested event. After an hour of air kisses and hugs Katy and I bounced to Bar Marmont on Sunset for some delicious food without the camera's.

Star Wars fans want the original cut of the film Fanboys, that gives us an inside look at the lifestyle of these obsessed Star Wars fans, and they are ready to protest for it. According to Wired.com, the Weinstein Company plans to release a version that is more of a mocking attitude towards the fans and that edits out the original storyline of a boy with cancer trekking to Skywalker Ranch. Fans have been urged by the Save Fanboys site to protest the March 28th premier of The Superhero Movie, a superhero spoof starring Drake Bell and produced by Weinstein. So march for your nerd right to do... I dont' know what... but go to where ever you must... GO NERDS! GO!
